Adult Intermediate Handbuilding with Kai

Class Description

In this intermediate-level class, students will refine their hand-building skills while creating a variety of functional pottery pieces, including vases, mugs, and hard-slab boxes. If time permits, we will also explore creating decorative seasonal items. Emphasis will be placed on craftsmanship and attention to detail, helping you create pieces that are both functional and something you’ll be proud to take home. We will explore a variety of surface decoration techniques, including carving, slip application, and other methods for adding character and finishing touches to your work. Your class registration includes 1 bag of clay, use of studio tools, studio glazes and all firings of your creations. Bring an old bath towel and wear old clothes or use your apron.
